SCI citation

It’s amazing how path-dependent things are! Just yesterday, I bragged around about our paper on organizational learning culture being among five top downloaded. Today, an excellent news about its’ citation by Jay Liebowitz and his co-authors in Industrial Management and Data Systems came. It feels very good to see that your research has international impact, doesn’t it!

Our paper in Science direct Top 25

I’m happy (and a bit proud, must admit) to announce, that the paper Organizational learning culture-the missing link between business process change and organizational performance, International Journal of Production Economics, Volume 106, Issue 2, 1 April 2007, Pages 346-367, co-authored by Škerlavaj, M. (that’s me :-), Štemberger, M.I., Škrinjar, R. and Dimovski, V. is holding its position among Science direct Top 25 downloaded papers in the IJPE journal. Even more so, while IJPE is indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded, has an impact factor of 1.183 (for 2006, which is an significant increase from 1.008 in 2005) and among top 25% of management journals.

EURAM track on knowledge networks

May 2008 is still far, nevertheless…I invite all the researchers interested in social networks, knowledge management and organizational learning to submit their papers to European Academy of Management (EURAM) Conference where I co-host the track Intra-organizational knowledge and learning networks: In search for empirical research (together with prof.dr. Emmanuel Lazega, University of Paris IX and mag. Robert Kaše, University of Ljubljana).

Au revouir Paris!

This Monday I was hosted by prof. Emmanuel Lazega (member of my PhD comittee) and Lise Mournier at University Dauphine, Paris to give an invited lecture in the series of seminars on networks in organizations. The presentation I gave was entitled Network perspective to intra-organizational learning, which received a lot of attention from the audience.

As a fringe bennefit to it, Paris in the autumn is more than beautiful! Beside few musts (climbing 668 steps of the Eiffel tower, marvelling the Louvre, impresionists in d’Orsay, Notredame, having a look of Bastille, Luxembourg gardens with house of Senate, being stopped by securty officer infront of Sorbonne University 🙂 , etc), my wife and I had an opportunity to enjoy the pure Nuit blanche (White night, a sleepless night) which coincided with French victory over All Blacks (New Zealand team) at the on-going World Championship in rugby at Stade de France.
Paris, see you again…
